FME38 demonstrates the hydraulic ram, a pump driven by the water hammer effect that needs no external power source. Supply head, delivery head and flow are measured so the efficiency of the ram can be calculated.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Water delivery hose | 10 m flexible tubing |
| Supplied hydraulic elements | Expansion tank, shut-off/opening valves and water collection tank |
| Unit dimensions | 400 x 400 x 500 mm approx. |
| Unit weight | 40 kg approx. |
Selected data from the model-specific panel on page 23 of the manufacturer LIFLUBA brochure. Unit dimensions and weights are approximate. The hydraulic bench/feed system and other required elements may be supplied separately; confirm the current model, accessories and complete quotation scope. Checked 2026-09-29.

FME16 is a bench module for testing a Pelton impulse turbine. Head, flow, speed and brake torque are measured so power output, efficiency and the characteristic curves at different nozzle settings can be plotted.
FME13 is a bench module for testing a single centrifugal pump. Head, flow, speed and power are measured so the characteristic curves and the efficiency of the pump can be plotted and the affinity laws checked.
FME21 is a bench module for testing a radial flow reaction turbine. Head, flow, speed and torque are recorded so students can obtain the power and efficiency curves and compare radial flow behaviour with impulse machines.
