Induction furnace carbon and sulphur analyser for inorganic samples such as steel, cast iron, ores and ceramics. The sample is burned above 2,000 degrees Celsius in oxygen and the resulting carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide are measured by solid state infrared absorption. A heated dust trap and a platinum based catalyst reactor handle the dusty combustion products that these materials produce.
